Profile
Mr. Scott is a partner of Osborne, Helman, Scott, Knisely & Stanton, LLP. He practices fiduciary litigation, representing clients in trust, estate, and guardianship disputes in courts across the state. Mr. Scott also represents clients in partnership litigation and advises settlors, trustees, and protectors in contested matters involving international trusts and asset protection structures. He regularly co-counsels with family law attorneys in divorce cases involving disputes over complex trust or estate issues. Mr. Scott is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is rated by Chambers & Partners in the area of private wealth disputes. He has been consistently ranked in the practice area of trusts and estates litigation by Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America, including being named as the 2024 trusts and estates litigation “Lawyer of the Year” for Austin by Best Lawyers. Mr. Scott has also been recognized by the Texas Senate and the Arc of the Capital Area for his pro bono service. Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Scott is a frequent speaker on fiduciary litigation topics and mediates trust, estate, and guardianship cases.
